PyMC3 - One Of My Favorite Machine Learning Libraries

Start Time: Friday, July 20, 2018 10:45 AM
Whether you are a beginner or an experience professional, Bayesian Inference is an important item in your data tool belt. No degree is needed to enjoy this fun session where we use statistics and probability to solve real world problems.

Bayesian Inference sounds very complicated - but its not! You don't need a degree in statistics to start classifying and categorizing data sets. Kick back and relax as we look at a little bit of weird statistical math, and write short programs in a super easy language, Python, to use that math on data. Remember - Data Science is about doing experiments and having fun!

TroyMann, Troy Mann

Troy Mann has had an unusual trip around the block.  He graduated with an engineering degree in a tough market, and ended up writing code.  His career really took off with the private cloud known as SharePoint.  However he found himself doing SharePoint and .NET by day, while working with open source mobile and big data applications by night.  Troy transitioned from SharePoint to the Azure public cloud, and has worked on several projects using AWS and GCP as well.  His knowledge of the Hadoop stack, ML, and DevOps rapidly placed him in a position to join IoT and Data Science projects.  Today he works at an awesome job doing what he loves - DevOps oriented Data Engineering.
